Brett and Jordyn's Fall Engagement Session at Boettler Park in Green, OH | October 31, 202111/15/2021
Brett and Jordyn. Leaves. Flannels. Giggles. This one's got it all, folks. Jordyn and Brett started with the famous disclaimer "you gotta help us, we don't know what we're doing" and let me just say, they were such absolute naturals and had such good chemistry together that it made my job so easy and enjoyable! I love it when couples select a location for their engagement session which is significant to them, and Boettler Park is one of those places for Jordyn and Brett. It was where they had their first date and later, where Brett popped the question. We had a beautiful autumn day, and I loved hanging out and hearing more about their love story. Congrats Brett and Jordyn!!
It is always extra special to photograph your friends during their big milestones. I met Ashley (and therefore John, as well because they come as a set, of course) in a small group at church, and we bonded over our shared name! Fast forward a few years later, they beasted it at grad school in Pittsburgh, moved back to Ohio in the Columbus area, and are getting married next year at The Gathering Place at Darlington Lake!! We debated different possible locations for their engagement photos, with Ashley’s one stipulation being 100% FALL, and we settled on Zoar, OH, which was absolutely perfect. Zoar is a historic village in Tuscarawas County. If you’ve never been, you need to check it out, especially if you like history and learning. The historic homes and buildings have so much charm and made for the perfect fall photo backdrop. Ashley and John, I’m so glad to know you and be your friend, and I hope that these photos make you feel so very special.
Jackie and Patrick had their first date at Sweet Moses Soda Fountain in Gordon Square Arts District, so it was fitting that we began their engagement session at the ice cream shop where it all started. Sweet Moses gave us the cutest ice cream sundae which was drowning in chocolate sauce and sprinkles (Patrick didn’t mind taking one for the team and finishing it up. Like I always say, no ice cream left behind...I don’t actually say this, but now I think I’m going to). We then moved on to Lakewood Park where their two doggos joined us for some pictures (bribed by chicken nuggets of course), and then we went down the path to Lake Erie where we had a distant view of the Cleveland skyline and sunset views at the Solstice Steps where we got beautiful golden light. The wind was CRAZY, but it added a wildness and carefreeness to the images, with Jackie's hair flying all over the place. I cannot wait to celebrate with Jackie and Patrick on the Good Time III next year. How fun is that going to be?!! YAY!!!
Here's a few pics from Becca and Greg's fall mini session on their front porch of their home in Ohio City. They have done so much to fix it up and give it so much charm! And with the pumpkins out front? ::chef's kiss::
