Julia and Patrick are two musically-inclined newlyweds! They met in the music program at Baldwin Wallace and returned to campus for their wedding in July. The ceremony took place in St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Berea, and the reception was held at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cleveland, with portrait locations including Coe Lake and the Baldwin Wallace University campus. One characteristic that stands out about both Julia and Patrick is their kindness. There is a gentleness about both of them, and it is especially evident when they are interact with their families (fun fact: the entire bridal party was made up of family members). Getting ready with the guys, I loved seeing Patrick tenderly button his youngest brother's vest and having a different younger brother make sure his hair was neat and tidy. Julia was a completely timeless bride. She was absolutely glowing, and it was the first time I have heard an audible gasp when the church doors opened up to her, back lit with a cathedral-length veil, linked arm and arm with her tearful mom and dad. Congratulations Julia and Patrick. I'm sure you will be making beautiful music together for a long time to come.
Jake and Taylor had a beautiful summer day for their outdoor ceremony at Springlake Party Center in Lakemore, OH. The bride and groom met on the track team at Kent State University, so the bridal party was an athletic bunch and the group portraits fittingly included track cleats. Some of the highlights of the day included the hilarious bridal party entrances to the reception, Jake's 90+ year old grandparents owning the dance floor to everyone's surprise, Taylor's adorable choreographed dance with her dad, and a stunning sunset over the lake (scroll to the end of this post for some major heart eye emojis). Since their wedding, Taylor and Jake have moved to Colorado to start a new adventure together, and it was great to be there to preserve the sweet memories of its very start.
Hey, if your day has been rough so far, done't worry. I've got just what you need: Your daily dose of CUTENESS. Little Niko celebrated his first birthday this summer, so of course we had to smash some cake! And the whole family got in on the act for some impromptu family portraits, as well. Niko had a bit of a rough 1st year of life because he needed heart surgery, but he is an amazing, resilient, and joyful little one, and he is so well loved by his mom, dad, and big sister Soph. I double dog dare you to meet this little man and not smile. You can't do it!
