If you know me, you know that Stillwater Place at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo has my heart because it's where Pete and I got second married (thanks to Covid), so it stands to reason that couples also getting married there have my heart, as well. And boy, is that true! Emily and Joe are just fantastic and have such a great group of friends and family. My second shooter Tori and I just had the best day hanging out with them and capturing their amazing zoo wedding magic on film (aka memory cards, but film sounds more cute and nostalgic, so just go with it). A presumptuous wedding guest name Quilbert the Porcupine (see below) tried very hard to upstage the bride with his adorableness, but to no avail, because Emily just absolutely stunned (I got goosebumps when she put the veil on, I'm not even kidding). And the dance floor, don't even get me started. This group knew how to MOVE! The wonderful day ended with a sparkler exit sending Joe and Emily on their way to a honeymoon in Mexico. Emily and Joe, congrats. I hope you felt the love that surrounded you on that day, because I know I did. You are two very special people.

The 2022 wedding season kicked off with a bang with Jordyn and Brett's spring wedding at Gather at the Lakes, in the Portage Lakes area south of Akron, OH. The weather was, well let's just say, quite Ohio-y. Ya know, a lovely mixed of snow/sleet/rain most of the day, but Jordyn and Brett brought their own sunshine. They held their ceremony at The Chapel in Akron, surrounded by family, friends, and their church community before heading down to Gather at the Lakes for their reception. I loved the blue color they selected for the bridal party, and if you know Jordyn, you know if was so fitting for her to have a sunflower bouquet. They ended the night with a glow stick exit and then headed to a mystery honeymoon destination, which Brett had planned and kept secret to surprise Jordyn. Can't wait to find out where they went! Congrats Brett and Jordyn and wishing you a lifetime of joyful, Christ-centered marriage.
Brett and Jordyn's Fall Engagement Session at Boettler Park in Green, OH | October 31, 202111/15/2021 Brett and Jordyn. Leaves. Flannels. Giggles. This one's got it all, folks. Jordyn and Brett started with the famous disclaimer "you gotta help us, we don't know what we're doing" and let me just say, they were such absolute naturals and had such good chemistry together that it made my job so easy and enjoyable! I love it when couples select a location for their engagement session which is significant to them, and Boettler Park is one of those places for Jordyn and Brett. It was where they had their first date and later, where Brett popped the question. We had a beautiful autumn day, and I loved hanging out and hearing more about their love story. Congrats Brett and Jordyn!!
