1. The First Step
Picture

Initial Contact

After you make contact with me via a contact form on the Contact Me page or by sending an email to ashleydeannaphotography@gmail.com, I will promptly reply back to you within 48 hours.  Good communication is important to me, so you can always expect to hear quickly.  I like to get some information about you, the services you desire, and the plans and dreams you have for your wedding day.  If I have availability on the day you need and it seems like we would be a good fit for each other, we will schedule a consultation meeting.
2. Let's Go on a Date

Consultation Meeting

The initial consultation meeting can be done in person at your favorite coffee shop, brewery or park, or you could opt for a video or telephone call, as well.  I like to get to know my clients personally because it helps me to serve you better, and we also spend quite a bit of time together throughout the planning process and on your wedding day, so it is important that you feel comfortable with me and have confidence in my ability to photograph your big day.

3. We'll Say "I Do" Before You Say "I Do"

Let's Make It Official

When you are ready to book, I will send a contract for you and your fiance to review and sign, and upon receipt of a signed contract and a retainer to book your date, we are officially OFFICIAL!!! AND THEN THE FUN BEGINS!!!  When you become an Ashley Deanna Photography couple, you will receive a little surprise in the mail and a helpful wedding guide I created to give couples help in planning a photography-friendly wedding and some other tips and tricks for wedding planning.
4. Engagement Pictures

Say Cheese!

Your engagement shoot is a great opportunity for us to have some fun together and create some beautiful keepsake images for you.  These sessions are typically more relaxed than the wedding day without such a tight schedule, which gives you the chance to become comfortable in front of the camera (i.e. "WHAT DO I DO WITH MY HANDS!?" Don't worry, I'll help you!) and see how we work together.  It allows us an opportunity to get creative and photograph you in locations that are meaningful to you and your relationship, and you will also be able to use the images for your Save The Dates, wedding website, wedding day decor, and beyond.

5. Wedding Planning

Wedding Planning

Let's just say I've been to quite a few weddings.  I want to leverage this experience to help my couples traverse the challenges of wedding planning as smoothly as possible.  I want to help you prepare for your wedding day, so you can just relax, enjoy, and be present, and so that I can give you the best photographic experience possible.  I can assist you with things such as creating a photography-friendly wedding day timeline, what to wear to your engagement session, figuring out family portrait combinations, and everything in between.  Approximately 6 weeks before your wedding date, I will send you a detailed online questionnaire which will help us both have all your day-of information in one place and make sure everything is organized and prepared ahead of time.
6. The Big Day

Let's get you married!!!

Simple as that. We will have the most fun day ever, and all you have to worry about is not forgetting to take a deep breath to take it all in.  Enjoy your day with your new spouse and with all the people you love the most.  I will worry about the logistics such as  staying on the timeline, coordinating with other vendors, and making sure we don't miss a moment.  You will also get to witness my photography ninja skills, i.e. hiding in a bush for just the right angle, documenting the embarrassing dance moves which your guests might prefer to forget, and catching all the smiles, hugs, and moments of the day.

7. After Your Wedding
Picture

After You Have Said "I Do"

After your wedding day, I back up, process, and edit your images as soon as I can.  I will post a preview image (or likely a few because I can never pick just one) for you the night of your wedding or the next day so as not to leave you hanging.  I will then get to work and have your images returned to you within 4-6 weeks after your wedding day (typically, sooner rather than later unless in a particularly busy season).  All the images you receive will be fully edited with my colorful, true-to-life style.

When will I get my photos back?

It is important to me to get your images back to you with a quick turnaround because I know how excited you are to see them.  In my contract, I promise to get your images back to you in 4-6 weeks, but in reality, I usually get them back to you quicker than this.

How many images will I get back?

After a regular photo session, you will typically receive at least 200 images.  It could be more or less based on session length, number of outfits, location, activities, etc.  For a standard full-length wedding day, expect to get 1200 images at the very least. Again, this depends on the length of the day, the number of events and portraits, different locations, etc.  I have delivered as many as 1800 images before.

Do I need a "second shooter" for my event?

Some of the reasons to bring a second shooter along with me include:

A second shooter helps with efficiency during the wedding day and helps me to be at two places at one time.
A second shooter can get different angles and framing than the primary photographer.
A second shooter helps catch more candid moments.
A second shooter is a right hand man/woman for me on the wedding day and helps the day run smoother.
A second shooter is an insurance policy for both you and for me.

I am happy to discuss further with you if you would like to decide what would fit best for you and your wedding.

Can you help me make my wedding day timeline?

Absolutely!  When you book with me, you will receive information on this and other helpful wedding planning topics, and I generally set up pre-wedding meetings/phone calls/video calls with the couple prior to the big day to make sure we are on the same page.

Do you have insurance?

Yes. Many venues require proof of insurance from vendors, so please let me know if you need proof of my coverage.

Do you have backup equipment?

Yes, I bring two camera bodies and many different lenses to every shoot and wedding. I also come prepared with extra memory cards, extra batteries and chargers, and other equipment. My camera bodies have two memory card slots, so if card fails, the other one still keeps a record of the images.

How do you ensure the safety of our images?

While I am still at your wedding or after I get home from your shoot, I immediately start backing up all the images from my memory cards onto a laptop. When I get home, I upload the images onto two separate portable hard drives to provide multiple backups.  I do not clear my original memory cards until I have delivered your gallery safe and sound to you.

How do I book you for my wedding?

Simply fill out a contact form below, email me at ashleydeannaphotography@gmail.com, or call my business phone number at 216-302-8904, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
